Our “A to Daihatsu” concept, a through-the-line campaign that positions Daihatsu as the car that takes you further than just A to B, also provided us with a platform to differentiate one Daihatsu car from the next by building a “character sketch” for each, to be used across all respective brand communications.

Gran Max Launch

360° Campaign


Tasked with launching Daihatsu’s brand new, full 1 ton Gran Max pickup to the S.A market (and might we add, in next to no time at all!) we promptly put our heads together and in true Timesquare fashion –  amidst loads of laughter  - put together a campaign that went straight from average to Double D. That is, “from average, to a pickup that double delivers, in the new Gran Max Pickup.” Positively fun. From teaser e-mailers to pumelo invites, PR to print ads and a TVC, event organizing and branding to packing fruit…

The pay-off line for this up market furniture outlet is “with design flair”. And we fully concur.

These print ads were part of a tastefully designed and cheekily delivered campaign we ran to emphasise the importance of ergonomically designed furniture for wellness at work. The overall message was that style and functionality in office furniture has been “proven” to be the no.1 reason for loyalty and top performance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A perfect opportunity for us to “come out and play”. We needed to create a catalogue that displayed our client’s range. What we ended up with was this stunning homage to Alice in Wonderland (done in true Timesquarian fashion). A theme that worked well to associate our client’s lifestyle furniture with fantasy, decadence and indulgence…

 We believe that this is what an institution like Lombard Insurance Group, has to offer major companies through financial flexibility, notable underwriting and expert advice. Thus said, at the core of our “Lights Campaign” - which showcases each one of their services - was the illumination of possibilities.

Big ideas can be translated into merchandising units too! On conceptualizing Free Standing units for Target Mortein, we ended up with these three rather unique “stand-out-in-the-store” options for their new product range:

  • “Science Lab” FSU – Research Centre for Insect Fatality
  • “Vending Machine” FSU – Drop dead efficiency

A Channel Specific Promotion for 8 leading brands



This campaign was all about creating impact in participating Spar stores by incorporating the brands on parade into the key visual in a unique way. Our artwork set the tone for Carnival Fever in the roll-out of other campaign elements. Included in the trader’s communication was a specially compiled selection of Brazilian music to get them in the mood for winning the big prize – a trip to Rio de Janeiro during their world-famous carnival in 2010.

 

R1 Million Promotion

Winter Promotion – featuring Dettol, Mr.Min, Vanish, Airwick

It goes without saying that many things need to happen before one can give away a million bucks. We got to go behind the scenes of Reckitt Benckiser’s big winter promotion by way of developing a creative, full 360° campaign, including managing promotion mechanics, and giving away the money from our very own office. Needless to say, the amount of work that went into it was well worth its weight in bucket loads of money. But all of it was loads of fun, as in “I think I might giveaway a million bucks” (after all, they make songs about that kind of thing!)

Nurturing Young Talent

For the past three years, Timesquare has, together with key stakeholders, developed the annual Dettol Shona Khona campaign as part of our CSI: inspiring underprivileged schools to give their pupils a chance to shine on and off the soccer field, and teaching them the skills it takes to turn their big dreams into a reality - to become the future stars of our country. This year, a total of 1001 schools signed up to become a part of this initiative!

This campaign got the job done for PermaNet – Africa’s premium mosquito net that is factory-treated to kill malaria-spreading mosquitoes. Simple yet effective, it included radio, POS, print and trade presenters. The kind of stuff someone’s bound to remember if they’re not looking to be bitten in the great African outdoors…
